Roza followed her two sisters through the CCG Job Training program after emigrating to the U.S. from Ethiopia in 2013. She graduated the Level 1 class with flying colors and went from shy and quiet around the staff to always smiling and laughing. Following her graduation, she stayed with CCG and completed paid on-the-job-training through the Department of Labor. At the end of that program she was hired onto the production team. Roza’s positive attitude and strong work ethic made it impossible for us to let her go.
At CCG she’s working to overcome one of our most common barriers – limited English skills, but she takes this in stride. Roza is able to support both her father and herself because of the skills she’s learned, and sees CCG as her family. When asked if she likes it here, she gives us a “yes please!”
