Get to know CCG: Annie McLeod

Get to know members of the CCG Team! This week, learn a little more about Annie and try out one of her favorite recipes.

What are three words that you would use to describe yourself?
Interested, caring, happy.

What do you do at CCG?
I am the Impact Programs and Social Media Manager. I work with Nate and Brent to track our trainees’ information before they enter the program, as they complete various training levels, and when they are hired at a new job. Additionally, I coordinate CCG’s volunteers and interns, connecting individuals’ interests with opportunities at CCG. I also work with online content and CCG’s social media platforms…follow us, like us, tweet us – we’re out there!

What is the best thing you’ve eaten this week?¬†IMG_3424
I visited the CCG Farm this Saturday to pick my produce for the week and came back with a ton of veggies. I chopped and roasted zucchini, onions, turnips, and tomatoes with olive oil and garlic. The sizzling veggies went on top of some pizza dough for a really delicious farm pizza. I added mozzarella and pulled it out when the cheese was a little browned and bubbly. The last step was to add some turnip greens tossed in lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper as a fresh garnish. It was awesome!! I added some fresh Farm raspberries to sparkling water for a refreshment.

What are your hobbies?
I really enjoy the outdoors – from hiking to camping to skiing. It’s great to have a natural playground in my backyard! I’ve also been working on my culinary skills (thanks to Brent and Jen!) and trying some new things in the kitchen.

What book are you reading?
I’ve been reading The Luminaries¬†by Eleanor Catton. I also recently started Mindy Kaling’s¬†Why Not Me? which has been a lot of fun to read!

Thanks for getting to know me and feel free to say hi the next time you’re in the office!
