Take a peek at menus from past Supperclub events in 2016 and get lost in daydreams of delicious food! All for a good cause, of course.
February 11th – Chef Dan Ansotegui
On February 11th, we were treated to a fantastic evening! Dan Ansotegui signed on as our guest chef for February Supperclub and created a delicious menu of Basque cuisine. Wines from the region accompanied the menu, selected by Trevor Hertrich from Northwest Specialty Beverage. Dan Costello serenaded guests as they sippedand mingled.
Guests enjoyed Basque tapas including manchego cheese with membrillo, stuffed Piquillo peppers, and shrimp croquetas. Then came ensalada mixta, barbequed solomo with peppers – Dan brought in his own charcoal grill! – and finally, brazo gitano for dessert!
June 2nd – Chef Katy Osuna
Later in the year, Supperclub guests came together for a night of handmade Italian dishes, with a modern, unique twist. June 2nd’s event was pulled together with the help of guest chef Katy Osuna. We were particularly excited about this event because of CCG’s sweet reunion with the chef – Katy is a former CCG staff member, serving as the Food Programs Manager before moving to San Jose to pursue culinary training last fall.
Katy created fresh and modern menu while utlizing traditional Italian cooking methods. Guests dined on homemade gnudi pasta and freshly made cheeses. The secondi course included locally sourced chicken and veggies, adding¬†that special “Idaho” feel to the menu. The dinner finished with a light panna cotta featuring flavors of lavendar, gin, pistachio, and rhubarb. Not only was a treat to the taste buds, Katy’s plating techniques created a feast for the eyes!
