Create Common Good appoints new board members
BOISE, Idaho (June 27, 2016) — Bernadette Madarieta and Karin Hart have joined the board of directors of Create Common Good, a Boise-based nonprofit social enterprise that uses food to change lives and build healthier communities.
Madarieta, a CPA and finance executive with nearly two decades of experience at such industry-leading firms as Packaging Corporation of America, Boise Inc., Boise Cascade, KPMG, and Arthur Andersen, will also serve as board treasurer. Hart, vice president of McDonald’s global business and retail at J.R. Simplot Co., has worked in foodservice marketing for nearly a quarter century, including stints at other major brands like ConAgra Foods, Ore-Ida Foods, and Tyson.

In addition to providing job training and placement services to people with barriers to employment, Create Common Good utilizes its large commercial kitchen to offer partners like Parrilla Grill, Jacksons Food Stores, and Steph’s Seriously Good Salsa volume food production products and services.
